sin X = 12/13

cos X = 5/13

tan X = 12/5

Explanation:

Recall the definitions as follows:

For a right triangle (i.e one angle is 90 deg) with one of the angles X

sin X = opposite side / hypotenuse

cos X = adjacent side / hypotenuse

tan X = opposite side / adjacent side

In our case for angle A, the following applies:

opposite = 36

adjacent = 15

hypotenuse = 39

hence

sin X = opposite side / hypotenuse = 36/39 = 12/13

cos X = adjacent side / hypotenuse = 15/39 = 5/13

tan X = opposite side / adjacent side = 36 /15 = 12/5
