Answer:

C) B

Explanation:

i didn't understand this either, so i'm going to try to explain it as easy as i can.

here is how i got the solution:

1) search up desmos graphing calculator and insert the two equations in it. (look at the photo attached)

2) look at the photo again; the dark green part is the overlapping part of both equations, which means that there has to be a point (dot) within that section.

3) look back at your question. try to find a point within that section in the photo provided; in this case, it will be B.

that's it! :)

tip: if you don't find a dot in that section, check the equation again. you might've entered the wrong one.

hope this helps!

Answer:

Option C.) B

Explanation:

we have

y > -2x+10 -----> inequality A

The solution of the inequality A is the shaded area above the dashed line y=-2x+10

The slope of the dashed line is negative m=-2

The y-intercept of the dashed line is (0,10)

The x-intercept of the dashed line is (5,0)

y > (1/2)x-2 -----> inequality B

The solution of the inequality B is the shaded area above the dashed line

y= (1/2)x-2

The slope of the dashed line is positive m=1/2

The y-intercept of the dashed line is (0,-2)

The x-intercept of the dashed line is (4,0)

using a graphing tool

The solution of the system of inequalities is the shaded area

see the attached figure
