The probability would be 9/12 and simplifies it you would divide both numbers by 4 and you get 3/4 as your answer

In this case you have...

9 goals

12 games

Plug this into the ratio goal : games

9 : 12

This ratio can be further reduced to...

3 : 4

What this means in words:

A hockey player will make 3 goals for every 4 games
