For this case we have that by definition, the area of a circle is given by:

A = \pi * r ^ 2

Where:

r: It is the radius of the circle

How do we have to:

A = 64 \ ft ^ 2

So:

64 = \pi * r ^ 2

We take
\pi = 3.14

r ^ 2 = \frac {64} {3.14}

We apply square root:

r = \pm \sqrt {\frac {64} {3.14}}

We choose the positive value:

r = 4,515

If we round we have that the radius is 4.5 feet.

Answer:

4.5 feet
