x²/3 - x/2 - 1 = 0

Multiply both sides by 6:

2x² - 3x - 6 = 0

It doesn't seem like you can use algebra to find the zeros, so we'll use the quadratic formula to find them:

x = -b±
\frac{\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac}}{2a}

a = 2, b = -3, c = -6

x = 2.637, -1.137
