When you multiply two negative integers, it will a positive. If you multiply a positive and a negative, it will be a negative answer.

An integer is a whole number that can be either greater than 0, called positive, or less than 0, called negative. Zero is neither positive nor negative.

Two integers that are the same distance from zero in opposite directions are called opposites.

Every integer on the number line has an absolute value, which is its distance from zero.

Answer:

Explanation:

When one of the two numbers making up the division is negative. In general, a negative result is obtained when there are an odd number of minus signs.

- - - - - - - - 4 / - 2 will give - 2

How come? There are 8 minus signs in front of the 4.

8 is an even number, so the result is plus.

There is one more minus in front of the 2.

That makes 9 minus signs all together. 9 is odd. Therefore the question gives a minus result.
