Answer: In order to remediate a marshland area, initially the area must be surveyed and the problems are needed to understand. Once the problems are identified, the necessary steps must be taken such as-

  1. The water quality of the area must be improved if degraded. This restoration of water will help the biota to maintain a healthy ecosystem.
  2. The soil quality also should be tested, that are responsible for the growth and development of various plants. The more fertile is the soil the more vegetation cover it has. The use of chemicals should be reduced.
  3. The waste materials must be removed from the marshland area that pollutes the soil, water as well as the air.
  4. Afforestation must be done.
  5. Awareness programs should be made to maintain a good and healthy marshland.
