Answer: The value of x = 10

Given : For circle H, JN = 5, NK = 4, LN = 2 and NM = x.

We know that when two chords intersects each other then the product of their segments is equal.

For the given figure , we have


JN* NK=LN* NM\\\\\Righatrrow\ 5*4=2* x\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=(5*4)/(2)=10\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=10

Hence, the value of x = 10
