Explanation:

In parallel lines If you use the rules of:

* Alternate angles are equal

* Linear Pair Angles supplement to 180

And use the picture below for calculating the result: finally we get

Z = Y - (180 - (X - W)) which becomes the answer above if you simplify the parentheses.
