The slope of the line (m) = rise / run

= (1 - -1) / (-5 - 2)

= -2/7

Using the point-slope form:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - -1 = -2/7 (x - 2)

y + 1 = -2/7x + 4/7

y = -2/7x - 3/7 is slope intercept form.
