Answer: Sum of vertices and sides is two more than the no. of edges.

Explanation:

The basic formula is:

F+V-E=2

Or

F+V=E+2

(NOTE: This applies only for polyhedrons...which means that it doesn't apply for cylinders and spheres and the kind)

Answer:

For any polyhedron solid the sum of its faces and vertices is two more than the number of its edges.

Explanation:

Vertices--

The vertices are the corner points of the polyhedron.

Edges--

The edges of a polyhedron are the line joining the vertices of two polyhedron.

Faces--

The faces are the flat surfaces by which a polyhedron is formed.

Euler formula--

The Euler formula is used to relate the vertices, edges and faces of a polyhedron.

If V denote the number of vertices.

E denote the number of edges and F denote the total number of faces of polyhedron.

Then ,

V-E+F=2

i.e.

V+F=E+2
