1 kilogram of nuts costs $8 how much would 3/2 of a kilogram cost?

You can use cross multiplication. Note that 3/2 = 1.5

1kg .... $8

1.5kg .... $x

So we have,


(1)/(1.5)=(8)/(x)\Longrightarrow x=8\cdot1.5=12

3/2 kilogram of nuts costs $12.
