Slope m has a form of,

m=\frac{\Delta{y}}{\Delta{x}}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Your points say A and B have a form of,

A(x_1,y_1),B(x_2,y_2)\longrightarrow A(-7,3),B(1,-9)

We can populate our slope formula to,

m=(-9-3)/(1-(-7))=(-12)/(8)=\boxed{-(3)/(2)}

The slope of the line that passes through point A and B is m = -3/2

Hope this helps.

Answer:

m = (-9-3)/(1+7)

Explanation:

To find the slope given two points we use

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (-9-3)/(1--7)

m = (-9-3)/(1+7)

m = -12/8

= -3/2
