How were women treated by the U.S government during World War I?

Answer: Quite Equally but not really the same here's why.

Explanation: Women in World War 1 was not like people think it is. People thought "oh they were just home cooking, and working at home all day blinded by the war.'' NOT TRUE AT ALL. They served as nurses, factory workers, they sewed bandages, they sold war bonds and much more. They did a lot for the men in the war and they were treated not as of today, they were treated a little disrespected about how men look at them, but at the end of the day they did so much for us back then.
