Answer:

Microcytic anemia:

The RBCs are smaller than the normal in case of microcytic anemia. Microcytic anemia is mainly caused due to the lead toxicity in the organism. Iron deficiency in blood and thalassemia are the main consequences of the microcytic anemia. The mean corpuscular hemoglobin value is less than 80 fl in microcytic anemia. The complete blood count can be used to diagnose the microcytic anemia.

Macrocytic anemia:

The RBCs are larger than the normal in case of macrocytic anemia. Macrocytic anemia is mainly caused due to the vitamin B12 deficiency and folate deficiency. The consequences of macrocytic anemia are liver disease and hypothroidism. The mean corpuscular hemoglobin value is more than 95 fl in macrocytic anemia. The macrocytic anemia can be diagnosed by the complete blood cell count.
