A lot of people claim that whole-food diet is full of daily nutrients that a human body needs. Some even advise them not to take any supplements at all. There are some of the nutrients that should be taken while on a vegan diet:

Fortified foods or enriched foods -- foods that have extra added nutrients that naturally don't exist in the food. They have a role of improving nutrition and add some benefits to the overall health. Milk is very often fortified with vitamin D, and fruit juices get calcium as addition.

An enriched food is food that gets nutrients back, by adding them back in, that were lost during processing. This process is intended to restore its original vitamin levels.

In some cases, enriched foods are very helpful, but it's very easy to get too much of them. They can contribute to nutrient overdosing. A person should be aware of how much nutrient they are getting in their system. Regular food can't be excluded, and a person should always keep an eye on serving sizes, as it can lead to vitamin and mineral overdose.
