Answer is 213 cookies.

Step by step : 20 pound of dough x 16 ounces to a pound = 320 ounces total dough.

I can change 1-1/2 ounce to 1.5 ounce for easier math.

Divide 320 by 1.5 ounce cookie portion = 213.33333

Because we need an exact portion for each cookie, we round to the nearest whole number of 213 cookies.

First of all we will convert the pounds into ounces

1 pound = 16 ounces

20 pound = 20×16 = 320 ounces

According to the question, If one cookie uses 3/2 ounce then how many cookies can be made out of 320 ounces??

To find out the no. of cookies we need to divide total ounce of dough by ounce of dough used by one cookie...

\sf \: i.e \: 320 / (3)/(2)

\sf \: 320 * (2)/(3)

\tt = 213.3

  • Round it off to 213

Therefore, The total number of cookies made by 320 ounce or 20 pounds of dough is 213...
