4x - 5 = 3

+5

4x. = 8

÷4

x. = 2

So, x is great or equal to 2

5 - x = 8

+x

5. = x + 8

- 8

- 3 = x

So, x is less than - 3

Thus, it is between the second or third option, but it goes to the second one because the circle at 2 is shaded in, which means x can equal 2.
