x = 6 and x = -5

Explanation:

The zeros are what 2 x-values makes this function equal to zero.

So we need to find
x^2-x-30=0

Now we need 2 numbers multiplied that gives us -30 (constant) and added gives us -1 (coefficient in front of x).

The two numbers are : -6, and 5

Now we can write:


x^2-x-30=0\\(x-6)(x+5)=0\\x=6, -5

Hence the zeroes are x = 6 and x = -5
