Explanation:

To find the slope of any linear line you would have to use the formula
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) ).

(-6 , 1) = (
x_(2),
y_(2))

(0 , 3) = (
x_(1),
y_(1))

Now you would insert the values into the formula....

(1-3)/((-6)-0) =
(-2)/(-6) =
(1)/(3)

1/3 is your answer.

If you want to check your answer, you would use the formula mx + b= y

m= slope

x = the x-coordinate in either of the coordinates

b= the y-intercept

y = the y-coordinate of the coordinate you chose

mx +b =
(1)/(3)(-6) +3 = -2 +3 = 1

1/3 is the correct answer

Hope this helps!!!
