Can someone please help me? The length of a house on a blueprint is 5 inches, and the building itself is 40 feet long. If the width of the house is 24 feet, how wide is it on the blueprint?

Answer: 3 feet

Explanation:

Length of house = 40 feet

Length of house on a blueprint = 5 feet

40 ÷ 5 = 8

As we can see, the scale for the blueprint is 1 feet (In Blueprint) = 8 feet.

So, width of house = 24 feet

Width of house on a blueprint = 24 ÷ 8 = 3 feet
