For maximum benefit during exercise, one's heart rate should increase by 50% to 85% above resting heart rate. (a) Alice has a resting heart rate of 70 bpm (beats per minute). What would her heart rate be if she increased it by 80% during exercise?

Answer:

heart rate during exercise become 126 bpm

Explanation:

maximum benefit is when heart beat increased by 50%-85%

alice resting heart rate= 70 bpm

increased heart rate of alice = 80%

increased heart rate =
0.8* 70=56\ bpm

total heart rate = 70+56=126 bpm

so, the heart rate of alice during exercise become 126 bpm
