Review this paragraph and read the graphic from the text “Overfishing the Oceans.” Then answer the question.

Overfishing is a serious threat that faces the health of our world’s oceans. Overfishing occurs when people catch most of the fish in a certain area or of a certain species. The demand for fish has risen sharply in recent years, and new technologies have been developed that allow people to catch more fish at once. This has resulted in a crash of many fish populations. Some species have decreased as much as 95%.

What can you learn by integrating the information from the paragraph and the graphic?
A. That some fish species have decreased by 95%
B. That declining fish populations are only a problem in certain areas
C. That Bluefin tuna is one of many fish species that has experienced a population crash
D. That the spawning stocks of Bluefin tuna decreased dramatically between 1971 and 2004

B. Fish have lots of importance for our sea life and especially in certain areas where maybe there is a lot a algae and it needs to be cleared, fish can help do that but if all the fish are gone then you can’t do stuff like that.
