Answer:

see explanation

Explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 3, 5) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, 10)

m =
(10-5)/(2+3) =
(5)/(7), hence

y =
(5)/(7) x + c ← is the partial equation of the line

To find c substitute either of the 2 points into the partial equation

Using (2, 10), then

10 =
(10)/(7) + c ⇒ c = 10 -
(10)/(7) =
(60)/(7)

y =
(5)/(7) x +
(60)/(7) ← in slope- intercept form
