Answer:

5x - y = -1

Explanation:

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

========================================

We have the points (-1, -4) and (1, 6). Substitute:

m=(6-(-4))/(1-(-1))=(10)/(2)=5

y-(-4)=5(x-(-1))\\\\y+4=5(x+1)

Convert it to the standard form
Ax+By=C:

y+4=5(x+1) use the distributive property

y+4=5x+5 subtract 4 from both sides

y=5x+1 subtract 5x from both sides

-5x+y=1 change the signs

5x-y=-1
