The most effective way to communicate is literal language, it explains more in details and does not get others confused by stumbling sentences. Like for example, I killed two birds in one stone, people who do not comprehend very well may think that they literally killed two birds in one stone, but that is figurative language and when using literal language, instead of say killing two birds in one stone, you would say, "I completed two jobs (chores, etc.) in one day." You see how literal language is easier to comprehend?

Hope this helped!

Answer:

The correct answer is literal language.

Step-by-step explanation:

The best way to communicate is using literal language, which is that language that does not have a double meaning but its words are used with their most primary definition, which makes it a simple and clear language.

Figurative language is instead a type of language that is used more in literature, and can have ambiguous meanings or definitions that differ from the literal meaning of a word.

Given this information we can say that the correct answer is literal language.
