What does this quote mean? (At least a 35-word response PLEASE!)

“But after a while, searching for answers felt like grasping around in the dark. At some point, you have to choose to live in the light.”

By saying that "searching for answers felt like grasping around in the dark." This literally means what it says, you are searching for answers that ate hard to see and find, just like grasping for somthing in the dark. You are looking for it, but can't see it.

"At some point, you have to choose to live in the light.” It is only natural to choose to live in the light, so that you don't have to keep grasping for something in the dark, where, you can't see it, and it could not actually be there.

Answer:

The quote is about how a person could consciously choose to act reasonable, true to his/her principles/ concepts other then acting in the heat of the moment, considering factors otherwise irrelevant, not getting the expected results and trying to connect impressions, missing moments in order to build a reasonable reality, a basis for the susequent development. It doesn't necessarily reffer to people living in denial, it's a state of mind probably like the memories before the age of 3: if one is told some things happen in a certain way then that's the way to remember them

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't know wether the explanation would reach 35 words. In any case, the author was probably reffering to moving towards a growing up attitude from acceptance of a model with all it's inconsistancies to becoming an independent agent that makes his own ( informed) decisions
