(f\cdot g)(x)=(3x+1)(x^2-6)=3x^3-18x+x^2-6=3x^3+x^2-18x-6

Answer:

Explanation:

It never occurred to me that the closed circle meant multiplication. The most common symbol for multiplication here is *. If that is what is meant (closed circle = multiplication) then my answer is wrong.

f(x) = 3x + 1

g(x) = x^2 - 6

f(x)(g(x)) = (3x + 1)(x^2 - 6)

f(x)(g(x)) = 3x^3 - 18x + x^2 + 6 or more properly

f(x)(g(x)) = 3x^3 + x^2 - 18x - 6
