Explanation:

If the domain is really {-4} and you have the function f(x)=-5x^2+3.

The range is just whatever the result of f(-4) is...

f(-4)=-5(-4)^2+3

f(-4)=-5(16)+3

f(-4)=-80+3

f(-4)=-77

So again if the question is really "The function f(x)=-5x^2+3 is defined over the domain {-4}, what is the range?"... then the answer is just {-77}
