Consider the function.
f(x) = 2*x+12
What is the y-intercept of f(x)?

The function is linear function of a form,

f(x)=ax+b

Which always intersects point,

P(x, n)

Or in this case,

f(x)=2x+12

The point is therefore,

P(x,y)\Longrightarrow\boxed{P(x, 12)}

The y-intercept is 12.

Hope this helps.

the question is already in slope intercept form.

The y-intercept is 12.

y=mx+b whereas m=slope, and b=y-intercept.

hope this helped!
