According to the passage, how many galaxies are there?
The passage:
Does life exist on other planets? I believe that it does. In fact, I think it is silly to believe that life only exists on Earth.
There may only be 8 planets in our solar system, but scientists think that there are between 800 billion and 3.2 trillion planets in our galaxy. Furthermore, astronomers think that there are at least 2 trillion galaxies. It is almost impossible to know how many planets there are in those other galaxies. So what are the odds that ours is the only planet in the universe with life on it? The universe is far bigger that we can even understand. It seems unlikely that we are the only intelligent life that exists in the entire universe.
People are skeptical about aliens because they have never seen them with their own eyes. However, this is not evidence that they do not exist. I have never seen a million dollars with my own eyes, but I still believe that it exists. You do not need to see something in person to believe that it is real.
People doubt that aliens exist now, but this will not always be the case. After all, 200 years ago, people could not imagine flying in airplanes. Maybe 200 years from now, we will seem silly for not believing in aliens!
