Explanation:

The point-slope of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

We have

m=1\\\\\left((3)/(2),\ -(1)/(2)\right)\to x_1=(3)/(2),\ y_1=-(1)/(2)

Substitute:

y-\left(-(1)/(2)\right)=1\left(x-(3)/(2)\right)

y+(1)/(2)=1\left(x-(3)/(2)\right)the point-slope form

Convert to the slope-intercept form:

y+(1)/(2)=x-(3)/(2) subtract 1/2 from both sides

y=x-(4)/(2)

y=x-2the slope-intercept form
