The arena’s car park is shown below.

Area of a circle = πr2
π = 3.14

What is the area of the car park, not including the arena itself?

Answer:

$6518.75

Explanation:

In order to calculate the are of the parking lot without the area of the arena we just have to withdraw form the area of the parking lot hald of the area of the arena, to calculate the area of the perking lot, it would be:

A=BxH

A=100x75

A=7500

Now the area of the arena:

A=\pi r^(2)

A=\pi 25^(2)

A=\pi 25^(2)

A=1962,5

As you can see in the image, the area is cut by half by a side of the car park, so we only have to withdraw half of the arena from the area of the parking lot.

Area in the car park without the area:

A=Area-half-arena\\A=7500-981.25\\A=6518.75

So the area of the parking lot without the arena is 6518.75
