The perimeter is the sum of sides of a rectangle

As the length is in feet while the width is in inches, a unit conversion must take place

As 1 feet equals to 12 inches

9 feet would be equal to 12*9=108 inches

The perimeter of a rectangle= 2(width)(length)

= 2(108)(40)

=296 inches
