The perimeter is equal to 2(width+length)

Let the longer side be the length of the rectangle

2(2x+3x+3)=146

Divide both sides by 2

2x+3x+3=73

5x+3=73

5x=70

x=14

The longer side = 3x+3

substitdude x into the equation

3(14)+3

= 45 units
