So you have to find the area of the base of the prism, the are of the base formula is A=bh (2 times 4). Now you have to area of the base you have to multiply it by the height of the prism. The height of the prims is the distance between the two bases. Which in this case is 5 cm. So (2 times 4 = 8) times 5 = 40. The only equation in the answer choices that doesn't equal 40 is A. Because 5+4+2= 11
