A client who is diagnosed with sexual dysfunction makes a comment to the nurse, "Well, I guess my sex

life is over." What is the most appropriate response by the nurse?

If this would happen, the nurse has to tell the person that it’s not, because sexual dysfunction doesn’t mean that the person can ever have sex again, it can just mean that it can be more difficult. The nurse should try to explain that, but suggest that the patient talks to the doctor for any more concerns.
