In order to solve this equation you must first simplify, then you re-range the terms, then solve.

12(x + -360) = 120

12(-360 + x) = 120

(-360 * 12 + x * 12) = 120

(-4320 + 12x) = 120

+ 4320+ 4320

12x = 4440

4440 / 12 = 370

x = 370

Which means your answer is "x=370."

Hope this helps.
