1.for the circle with a radius of 7cm:

  • multiply 3.14 (or 22 on 7) by the square of 7
  • you then get 154

2.for the circle with a radius of 10cm:

  • multiply 3.14 (or 22 on 7) by the square of 10
  • you then get a mixed fraction of 314 (whole number) and 2 on 7
  • if you expand it, it will be 314.2857143

finally you subtract 1 from 2 and you have your answer
