a½+b½-c½=0

a½+b½=c½

Squaring on both sides,

(a½+b½) ²=c½×²

a+b+2a½b½=c

a+b-c= -2a½b½

Again squaring on both sides,

(a+b-c) ²=(-2a½b½) ²

= 4ab.
