Answer:

The Freedman's Bureau, established by Congress in 1865, was created in order to help former slaves after the Civil War. It provided basic needs such as food, water, and medical aid. In addition, they built schools and helped with housing as well.

The primary goal of the Freedmen's Bureau was to provide assistance to the freed slaves and others who became the victim of relocation as a result of the Civil War. This bureau provided them with many services, for instance, they helped them to meet their families, providing food, medical and housing and assistance etc. They were also charged with redistributing seized property, but this was one field in which they were less auspicious.
