distance formula:

d = √(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2

d = √(2 - 2)^2 + (-1 - 4)^2

d = √(0)^2 + (-5)^2

d = √0 + 25

d = √25

d = 5

(-1-4)^2 + (2-2)^ 2

(-5)^2 + (0)^2
