Explanation:

First simplify it and it becomes:-

4x - 8

Now, the domain will be all real numbers as it satisfy them all.

Now, for range write the expression in terms of y i.e.

y = 4x - 8

>> x = (y + 8)/4

Now y also satisfies all real numbers.
