How can I tell that a graph is a function or not?

Answer:

You can use the vertical line test, which means anywhere you put it on the graph it should only pass through the line once.

Explanation:

This insures that the graph does not have two of the same x values. However if it has two points that have the same x values that means it will not be a function.
