By definition, the Domain is the set of all the x-coordinates of the ordered pairs (input values) and the Range is the set of all the y-coordinates of the ordered pairs (output values)

In this case you have the following relation:

You can identify that the set of all the x-coordinates is:

You can observe that the input value 8 appears twice, but you only need to write it once.

Domain means all the x - values included in a set of data:

{(3, 5), (8, 6), (2, 1), (8, 6)}

It is unnecessary to put two of the same numbers. You only need to put one.

{2, 3, 8}
