1L = 1000 cm^3 = 1000 g = 1 kg 1 L of water has a mass of 1 kg

V = 4.8 L = 4.8 m^3 volume of water displaced

F = M g = 4.8 Kg * 9.8 m/s^2 = 39.2 N

Since 39.2 N is the weight of the water displaced

39.2 N will be the buoyant force on the object
