Explanation:

(x-2)(2x-7)(4x+5)=0

(2x^2-7x-4x+14)(4x+5)=5

from now on you know that either

(2x^2-7x-4x+14)=0 or

(4x+5)=0

By solving the first eqation (2x^2-7x-4x+14)=0

you get x = 2 or 3.5

By solving the second equation (4x+5)=0

you get x = -1.25
