Read this excerpt from a personal narrative essay. What did the writer learn from this personal experience?

I am so glad that I continued to be part of my swim team. I think it really helped me heal from my injury. I also learned how important it was for my teammates to have a cheerleader. They loved that I was there encouraging them and telling them not give up. It was almost as if they knew I hadn’t given up either. I’ll be back next season!

Letter a. The writer learned that there was more important parts of the swim team then swimming. They were there for her teammates and that’s incredibly vital to a team.
