Answer:

(x+7) is not a factor

Explanation:

we know that

If (x+7) is a factor of f(x)

then

For
x=-7, f(-7)=0

Verify

we have

f(x)=x^(3)-3x^(2) +2x-8

Substitute x=-7

f(-7)=(-7)^(3)-3(-7)^(2) +2(-7)-8

f(-7)=-343-147 -14-8

f(-7)=--512

-512\\eq 0

therefore

(x+7) is not a factor
