The correct answer is C. Alan and Sondra have the same chance of winning.

There is a same chance of the being the same as it is not being the same. Thus, they both have an equal chance of winning.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

C. They have the same chance of winning.

Explanation:

Probability (2 tails) = 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4

Probability( 2 heads = 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4.

Therefore the Probability they match = 1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2.

The probability of they don't match = 1 - 1/2 = 1/2 because all probabilities add up to 1. There are only 4 possible results and their probabilities must add up to 1.
